A little about me:
My story really started when I was 14-years-old. I had grown up in church, so I knew the way to salvation from a young age. I remember at around five repeating over and over again, with a friend of mine, "Jesus come into my heart." We were seeing how many times we could say it consecutively.
Then at 14, I attended church camp five hours away from home. The pastor told what I had already knew about Jesus. But something was different this time. As I listened, my eyes began to open, and for the first time in my life, I saw myself as a sinner who needed a Savior. From the outside I was a pretty good kid. Moral. Well behaved. Went to church regularly. But God looks past the good works into the heart of the person. My heart was sinful.
I got on my knees and cried, asking Jesus to forgive me of my sins and come into my life. He gave me a new heart, and I felt like a new person.
My love for Jesus began to grow.
Fast forward ten years later, I married my handsome husband James. We met on our way to prison. Yep, you read correctly. Before you jump to conclusions, we were doing ministry to inmates with our college age group at church, and we struck up a conversation on the bus ride there. Two years later we were husband and wife...now I have four little humans in my life that call me, "Mommy."
